McCain Doesn't Get It
McCain Doesn't Get It
President Clinton knew something that John McCain doesn't--"it's the economy stupid." As the McCain Campaign runs around the country insulting Barack Obama, voters are listening to Obama's words on the economy. Maybe Obama is right about John not "getting it."
We're in troubled times, John. Yet, you want to talk about the war, patriotism, and Barack's associations. If the Dow hadn't crashed, maybe people would listen. Right now, most people really don't care about Bill Ayers or Rev. Wright. They care about their jobs, their 401(k)s. and their wallets. If you talked more about those subjects, maybe people would hear your message.
If McCain fails to deliver a comprehensive message on the economy at the debate tonight, this campaign is over. The most important poll comes on November 4th.
We the People
We the People
Monday's vote in Congress proved that "we the people" still wield at least a little power to move our representatives. Despite the Bush Administration's "gun to the head" warning of imminent economic collapse, a majority of Republicans and a bunch of "lose my seat" scared Democrats voted against the bailout plan. Why? Because "we the people" spoke in volumes.
"We the people" do not trust polls and pundits to tell us how to vote or what to think. Democrat, Republican, Independent, or nothing, we have the intelligence to make up our own minds on the issues of the day. Since our elected officials do value polls so much, why do they ignore their 17% approval rating?
Our next chance to speak in volumes comes on election day. Register to vote and send them a message--Performance Review: You all stink!
